WTAC 2016

Hands down the best event of the year... The World Time Attack Challenge held at Sydney Motorsport Park, over 2 days.

Hope you enjoy my coverage!

The Croydon Racing Developments R34 GTR sleeping before heading out in the Open Class race.

Nobuteru Taniguchi about to head out in the Sutton Brothers S15.

Nigel Petrie from @engineeredtoslide brought his NA S13 up from Melbourne.

Another silvia that drove up from Melbourne, @_oliiver's widebody, RB26 S13.

Garage finds...

You can tell I have a thing for skylines :P

Under Suzuki giving the thumbs up. Was cool to see him again! I actually spent a few days with him during Tokyo Auto Salon back in 2015, as he had his car on display at the Haltech/GCG Turbo stand that I was working at.

The cockpit of the Scorch Racing S15.

The Nissan Calsonic R88C Le Mans race car. Such an iconic machine!

The Drift King! Mr Keiichi Tsuchiya moments before taking the Pagani Huayra BC for a spin around the track.

The Huayra BC is one of the most sought after and exclusive supercars in the world today, and probably the first and only time I will ever lay eyes on one in person.

It is crazy to think that this car is worth 3 million dollars, and Japan's most indisputable motorsport icons drove it, here in Sydney. I really can't believe how close I got to it all, and I even managed to get a photo with him!

It's all in the details.

When one Pagani isn't enough... This yellow one resides in Sydney.

<3

When the Drift King gives you the thumbs up whilst staring down your lens! Probably my favourite shot from the weekend.

Another favourite is this shot I got of this immaculate R34 GTR V-Spec II Nur, that also drove up from Melbourne.

I had the opportunity to spend a few minutes alone with it as the sun was setting...

Who else would love to own one? If only the prices weren't continuing to go up and up....

After shooting the GTR it was then drift time!

It was so crazy to see Daigo Saito drifting the Liberty Walk Lamborghini.

Unsure why I'm using two hands here lol! I was so wrecked by the end of the event, after running around all day.

Stay tuned for Part 2 featuring my photos that I got whilst meeting you guys at the Zen Garage stand. For now, please enjoy the photos below from last years event! :)

BTW which car was your favourite from the event?! And who is planning on going next year?!
