Skyline Dreams

When I first came across Skyline Syndicate on IG and learnt that they were local to my home in Newport, California, I immediately hit them up to see if I could shoot one of their cars.

The last thing I expected was to shoot 8...

Being a die hard skyline fan (and missing my R34 back home) I was excited to say the least to get behind the camera and shoot my favourite Japanese cars.

I was only expecting to shoot maybe one or two cars max, but when I got to the Skyline Syndicate HQ and learnt that there were 8 cars coming, I kind of freaked out.

I've never shot so many cars in one shoot before, so I found it quite challenging. Thankfully I had Trevor with me along the way to assist and get all the BTS footage.

We shot the cars in a large open industrial area in Santa Ana after Trevor and I found the spot the day prior. I originally wanted to shoot the cars up in the mountains, but I think this location ended up working well.

As the sun started to set, we co-ordinated the cars together and lined them all up to 'get the shot'.

Being surrounded by so many skylines really made me miss my car back home. I would kill to have my R34 over here in the states!

After each owner got a photo by their car, we hung around a bit and did some filming before wrapping the shoot up, and saying our goodbyes.

A huge thanks to Lerry and the entire Skyline Syndicate crew for coming out and letting me shoot the cars, and making me miss my car even more!

Make sure you watch the video they captured on their blog!
