The Road Home From Lake Arrowhead
After hitting the trails all day at SkyPark Bike Park near Lake Arrowhead, we decided to take a random side road home and ended up discovering an amazing overlook where hang gliders take off from. Sadly, we also discovered a huge fire in the distance in Cherry Valley that reportedly grew over 20,500 acres. A total of 2,266 firefighters and other personnel were assigned to the fire, including 29 hand crews and firefighters on 260 engines. As you can see from the photos below, the smoke clouds looked like a bomb went off - it was pretty nuts! Fingers crossed there were no fatalities.
