The Bridge To Nowhere

Hands down this is the best hike I have ever been on in California!

The 10.5 mile hike to the Bridge to Nowhere is one those hikes that you have to do at least once in your life, and it is only an hour or two from Orange County.

It was 7am when we arrived at the trail head, where we met a group of people I had never met before, all except Trevor and Alec. There was 13 of us and we all set out to reach the Bridge to Nowhere. We had no idea what we were about to get ourselves into.

First, we hiked along the San Gabriel River in the beautiful wilderness for about 5 miles, crossed about 6 waste-deep rivers and then, out of nowhere, we reached a huge, 120-foot high bridge - where some of the members in our group decided to bungee jump off - no thanks 😳

The best part about the hike was that I came with no expectations and honestly had no idea what we were getting ourselves into. We had no idea that the hike would take us 4-6 hours or that the water level would be up to our waste with strong currents making it hard to cross some sections, but that’s what made the overall experience so fun! Plus when you get to experience it with a group of down-to-earth strangers, it’s even better!

I cannot wait to see what other great hiking trails California has to offer!
