Q&A: Answering Your Questions
I recently held a Q&A on my Instagram where a bunch of you asked me some questions! I thought this would be a great way for you to get to know me a little more!
In order to grow and accomplish my dreams, I need to step out of my comfort zone more and I have always considered myself as an introvert, often hiding behind so many fears. But I want to get over my fears, be open with you all and bring you on my journey along the way!

Definitely in the future! There is so much I want to do! At the moment I have a lot of projects lined up, so once I have the time to design something, I will get them made :) I am a 'one-man team' with a full-time job so it's often hard to juggle everything, but new stuff is definitely on the way! :)

Of course! I am actually heading toNZ for my works Christmas party later this year - super excited! I think I'm going to race some supercars at the new track in Queenstown :)

The thing that keeps me driven the most is probably people’s reaction to my work. The feedback and the responses I get after each post is amazing and that kind of support really pushes me to continue challenging my own creative abilities. I’m also inspired by the fact that I have the potential to inspire others and make them feel how I feel when I look at certain images, that’s probably what drives me the most.
andrewvesperman What first inspired you to create Stay Driven? :)
Being a highly driven individual, I wanted to share my passion and drive with others in hopes to inspire and motivate them to reach their goals. I had always wanted to create my own platform to share my journey and one day the words “Stay Driven” came to me and from then one idea sparked another and another and another… I realised at the time that there was no one-destination automotive blog run by an individual that not only focused on cars, but had a motivational twist and an important meaning behind it. I really wanted to create an inspiring platform that encouraged people to get out there and drive, and to try new things!

hende46 If you had your own interior design firm/ stay driven office in a few years, what full size display car would you have in your reception area? I would have Ayrton Senna's McLaren MP4/4 🏎😁 (Your blog post about Dutton's garage with the Porsche and Carroll Shelby reception room inspired this question 😎) @jazzabel
Wow that would be unreal! It is too hard to choose just one! Perhaps a white R34 GTR V-Spec 2 Nür, a white Lamborghini Aventador, a P1 and an RWB!

Probably my R34! However, my all time dream car since I was a kid has been a Lamborghini Aventador. I am yet to drive one though!

I see myself as a highly driven individual and I am always surrounding myself with things and people that continue to motivate and inspire me. I also place my Stay Driven stickers everywhere, so that I am constantly reminded to stay motivated :) And I totally disagree with the first question, but thanks for the nice compliment. If you knew me personally - you would know how self-conscious I am, even though it doesn't come across that way online.
aaronlepham.pbp How do you become successful when owning a business?
I believe that in order to become successful when owning a business, you need to dedicate a lot of time BTS, ensure that you engage with your audience and never give up! It also pays to have a 'why' or a 'purpose'. Businesses often fail because they haven't clearly outlined their why or they simply give up. I also believe in the term 'Kaizen' which is a Japanese business philosophy of continuous improvement of working practices, personal efficiency etc. One of the most notable features of kaizen is that big results come from many small changes accumulated over time which is why I am constantly trying to improve and evolve what I do with all aspects of life - especially Stay Driven.
onthestreetz How did get started taking photos of cars/ what was the first car show you photographed?
I can't remember what was the first car show I photographed, but photography started as a hobby, then over time it grew into a strong passion of mine!

I am single lol! I don't think I have time to be in a relationship right now... All my focus is on Stay Driven :)
raymond.kuoch Question: Give up working at home or give up photography?
Eeek! That's way too hard to choose! I love being able to work from home when I am not at my normal 9-5 job. My home office and photography are both like an escape for me and without it I wouldn't be able to create cool content for you guys!
hayden_cooper_ Question: what got you into logic and what's your favourite song by him??!?!
Someone on Tumblr recommended him and I got hooked straight away. My favourite song is 'Nikki'.

I would LOVE to come to the UK! I follow quite a few automotive photographers from the UK who I'd love to collaborate with one day and I see that the supercar scene over there is crazy!

Definitely on the cards! I'd love to head over to Europe. Perhaps I need to arrange a Stay Driven tour?! :P

Definitely! The giveaways are fun and I love adding in extra items that I have collected over the years. I have so many cool things that I'd love to give out! I will be announcing a giveaway once I reach 5K followers on my @stay.driven account, so stay tuned!
nonnoassisi What are your thoughts on the Nissan 300zx z31 ?
I don't know a whole heap about them and they aren't really appealing to me but I am sure they are great cars!

lonee.wolf If you build any car besides the R34 what car would it be, and if you could any type of guy you'd like how would he be?
I have always wanted an S-Chassis but since being around so many RWB builds, I have grown to appreciate Porsches and would love to have my own RWB built by Nakai-san one day! And hmmm that's a tough question... I definitely want someone who is driven, creative, ambitious and adventurous! Not asking too much right? :P

I definitely love R34's but the Lamborghini Aventador has always been a favourite. Especially the new 750-4 SV.... I have this weird thing where I have been seeing the numbers '7 5 4' since I was a teen and so, I see it as a sign that maybe one day I will own one? :P

It takes a lot of drive, passion and dedication! I never really considered myself as an entrepreneur until recently when quite a few people have labeled me with that title. I honestly did not think that Stay Driven would become this big and take up so much of my time, but I am loving it! It certainly keeps me busy!

You make me happy Ash! I miss you so much :( But this is a good question and I actually had to stop and think... Staying driven and creating cool content definitely makes me happy, and getting out and exploring new places! It also makes me happy when I'm having a 'good tummy day' and can enjoy lots of fooooood :)
g3jaymoss what do you do for work?
I work full time for The Interior Design Institute where I am the social media manager, student support officer and creative director for the institutes course content. More recently I authored an Advanced Module in Business, Branding, Marketing and Social Media for Interior Designers and when I am not working (which is never lol) I also am a freelance photographer, content creator and website designer. On top of that I run everything on Stay Driven. Doing all of these roles means I am constantly ‘on’ but I see myself as a highly driven individual and strive when working on various projects. It also helps that I love what I do, so none of it really seams like work!
moog53 What is nakai-san like in person?
He is incredibly humble and although he is a man of few words, he is actually really funny! Not many people get to see that side of him.
naruchlo Where did u get that r34 jap plate keyring?
I got it when I was at Tokyo Auto Salon in 2015! They had it at one of the little stalls within the event.

I have had it for over 4 years now and it's my daily :)

Yeah I have met them both and yeah they are super cool haha! Marty is really funny!

I bought it stock, so all the mods you see on my car have been personal choices. I wrote a blog post about it here.

I like the presence and styling of the R34 and how reliable they are, and I couldn't buy the gtr because I was on my P-plates at the time.

I love it! It is super expensive and some of the roads suck but regardless I feel very lucky to be living in such a beautiful place :)
revolution_dave Whats your top 3 dreams cars? If that's already answered then: What other goals do you still have in life?
My top 3 dream cars are the Lamborghini Aventador, Mclaren P1 & Porsche GT3 RS and my other goals in life are to hopefully own one of those cars, build my own house and travel the world driving awesome cars!
Anonymous: How do you prepare for road trips? and what do you like to do on them? I’m a photographer as well, but depression and anxiety get in the way of me going out by myself willingly. My ex liked to go out heaps, but I just couldn’t, I'd always have some excuse or procrastinate. e.g I'd much rather just stay in bed. I know how good things are outside the comfort zone, but it's a constant mental back and forth. Everything feels like, so much effort. I finally got around to prepping rims which I bought 2 years ago, any normal person would have had them done in 1 week.
I used to be the type that had everything planned out and organised but lately I love being spontaneous and just seeing where the road takes me. Often times I will choose a destination, then just see what happens rather than stressing out about how I am going to get there... It's always so exciting to see what lays around the corner. Like you, I have suffered from depression and anxiety and often spend my weekends at home but there is something so invigorating about exploring the unknown and just getting out there! Creating Stay Driven has really helped me step out of my comfort zones and conquer my fears. It's like a constant reminder in the back of my head to stay motivated. You just need to find something that motivates you, that inspires you and that gets you excited about life - after all life is too short!
