Wild + Free Women's Retreat

There’s something so special about a group of women coming together to share their stories and holding space for one another. A couple of weekends ago, I spent the day at a Wild + Free Women’s Retreat in Bondi, which was hosted by Destiny Wolf and Ali Skiba. It was pure magic and I formed some lovely connections, especially the one I made with Sabine, who is a yoga teacher in Coogee.

We started the day with a delicious selection of teas by @misscamelliatea, meditation, yoga, sound healing and journalling.

BTW how pretty is the alter by @so.floral!? 😍

We then went outside to dance and enjoy some ceremonial cacao from Peru by the lovely @mightycacao. I ended up buying a bag from her and have since had two cacao ceremonies on my own at home and omg it’s sooooo good you guys!

After we flowed outside, we went back inside to return to our mats for some sound activation/healing and storytelling. It was so empowering to be surrounded by these women and hear their stories. I felt a huge sense of compassion and gratitude. Cultivating a sense of gratitude extends beyond external expression, more than saying “thank you, I appreciate you.” The embodiment of gratitude allows us to become present to the abundance and beauty that not only surrounds us but is within us.

When my practice is an offering to my highest self, I return gratitude towards myself. I embody gratitude for all that I have been, all that I am, and all that I am becoming on this journey to and through myself.

Embracing this level of gratitude paves the way for me to extend that same energy outward towards those surrounding me.

I’m so glad I went on this day retreat and can’t wait for the next one. It really was the perfect opportunity to reset and recharge, and form new connections. Thank you Destiny, Ali, and all the ladies for creating a safe space for us.
